Delete your account

You may request deletion of your Notani account and the associated data at any time. This page explains how, what is deleted, and what cannot be.

Version of 27 August 2026. — Version française

How to make the request

Write to contact@notani.eu with the subject line “Account deletion”.

Preferably write from the email address attached to your account: this lets us verify your identity without asking for supporting documents. If you no longer have access to that address, state it in your message and we will ask you for another means of verification.

We acknowledge receipt and process the request within one month at the latest. Deletion takes effect when the request is processed, with no additional waiting period, and you receive written confirmation.

No reason is required, and the request does not have to be justified.

What is deleted

  • Your account and your sign-in credentials.
  • Your account identity: phone number, language and country of registration.
  • Your email addresses, primary and secondary.
  • Your roles and scopes of intervention.
  • Your address book — including third-party contact details you had saved there.
  • Your contact details in other users’ address books: the corresponding entry is removed.
  • Your preferences. Notani does not keep the documents you exported; it keeps the record that an export took place — date, scope, document fingerprint — as evidence, and erases the recipient’s contact details after twelve months.

What is retained, and why

Notani is a traceability register. Some data is not ours to make disappear along with an account, and we would rather say so here than discover it with you at the moment of the request.

1

Facts recorded in the register — movements, holdings, validations — are retained under the legal obligation to keep the farm register, for five years from the last event. They are not deleted along with the account. Your identity within them is reduced to the legal minimum: your first name, your last name and the premises concerned — nothing else. These three do not disappear with your account and remain visible to the people you exchanged with: that is what makes the register enforceable.

2

The audit log is immutable by design: that is what gives it evidential value. It retains the record of sensitive actions, without which it would prove nothing.

3

Data declared about you by other people — a movement a third party declared towards your premises, for instance — belongs to that declaring party’s register. It is not deleted by your request. You may object to being contacted again, and we then erase your contact details; the fact itself, and the name under which it was recorded, belong to that declaring party’s register. See the privacy policy.

Once the periods above expire, this data is deleted without any further request from you.

If you do not have an account

You may have received a message from Notani asking you to confirm a movement without ever having signed up. There is then no account to delete, but your contact details are indeed processed and you have a right to object. Write to the same address: we will stop sending you such requests and erase your contact details, starting with your email address. If you confirmed a movement, that confirmation remains in the declaring party’s register, under the name recorded there: it is what gives the movement its evidential value, and it is not a means of contacting you. The details are set out in the privacy policy.

Your other rights

Deletion is only one of the rights available to you. Access, rectification, restriction, objection and portability are exercised at the same address contact@notani.eu. If our response does not satisfy you, you may lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority — cnil.fr — or with the supervisory authority of your country of residence.
